An early Sunday morning accident on the Azamgarh-Ghazipur road near the Nagar Panchayat Jahanaganj market area has led to the deaths of two people and left another critically injured. The van they were traveling in collided with a roadside tree, resulting in severe damage and immediate fatalities for Shashi Singh and Siddaqi.
The van was carrying a consignment of blankets intended for the victims' garment shops. All three individuals were residents of Ghazipur. The injured youth, Taufiq, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, while the bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem examination.
Authorities are investigating the incident, with initial suspicions pointing towards overspeeding as the cause. Eyewitness accounts suggest the impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely destroyed, underscoring the violent nature of the collision.
