Four Killed, 25 Injured as Pickup Truck Plunges into Gorge in Kangra

On August 13th, 2025, a tragic accident occurred in Kangra district, claiming the lives of four people and injuring around 25 others. A pickup truck carrying pilgrims who were returning to Punjab's Moga from the Mata Chamunda Devi temple in Kangra lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near Jadrangal.
The vehicle was traveling on the Chamunda-Dharamshala road near Ikku Mod when the incident took place. A woman died on the spot, while the others sustained injuries. Police were immediately informed and reached the accident site to begin rescue operations.
The injured were rushed to the Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital in Tanda, where three more succumbed to their injuries. The rest are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Kiran (35), Sukhjinder Singh (35), Jagsir Singh (38), and Paramjeet Kaur (35), all residents of Bhagike village in Moga district. Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the incident further.
