Woman Killed by Ex-Husband at Detroit Hospital Despite Protective Order

In a heartbreaking incident, a Michigan woman has been killed by her ex-husband at the hospital where she worked. According to the reports, 53-year-old Mario Green walked into the basement of Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on August 22, 2025, and shot his ex-wife, Latricia Green, multiple times.

The tragedy occurred just one month after Latricia had been granted a personal protection order against Mario, but it was never served. Latricia had twice attempted to file for the order, citing her ex-husband's escalating threats and harassment, including breaking into her car and following her to work. However, the first request was denied, and while the second was granted, it was never delivered to Mario.

Authorities are still investigating how Mario was able to gain access to the hospital's restricted areas. The hospital was briefly placed on lockdown following the shooting, and Mario initially fled the scene before his car was later found abandoned. He was eventually taken into custody by the Detroit Police Department on August 23.

The loss of Latricia has devastated her family, friends, and colleagues at the hospital, who described her as a "magnificent" and "sweet" person.
