Summary
- Delhi Police infiltrate hospital, bust child trafficking ring
- 10 suspects arrested, including doctor and medical rep
- 6 infants rescued, including 1 abducted from Delhi bus terminal

On September 8, 2025, the Delhi Police conducted a sting operation that led to the busting of a child trafficking ring operating out of a hospital in Uttar Pradesh. Posing as a patient in acute cardiac distress, the police infiltrated the hospital and arrested 10 suspects, including a doctor and a medical representative, who had been abducting and selling infants, especially baby boys, for the past 3 years.
The investigation began in August 2025 after the abduction of a 6-month-old child from the Sarai Kale Khan interstate bus terminal in Delhi. Through surveillance and technical evidence, the police traced the child to Agra, where he had been sold to a medical representative for ₹1.5 lakh. Further interrogation and raids led to the rescue of a total of 6 infants, including the one abducted from Delhi.
The gang members had been tricking families into believing the children were up for legal adoption, selling them to childless couples for ₹2-₹5 lakh. The police are now working to identify and locate the biological parents of the rescued children, who have been placed in shelter homes in Delhi.
