- Paid ₹8,500 each for Amarnath pilgrimage package
- Operator abandoned them mid-journey, leaving them stranded

On July 31, 2025, it was revealed that 14 pilgrims from Jaipur were the victims of a scam orchestrated by a tour operator. The group, led by complainant Kamal Kumawat, had paid ₹8,500 each to Sanjay Singh Naruka of "Lucky Tour and Travels" for an Amarnath pilgrimage package. The trip began on July 11 and was supposed to end on July 17.
However, when the group returned, they found that Naruka had disappeared. His phone was switched off, and his office was locked. The pilgrims were left stranded in tents, struggling to find their way back as Naruka had promised to arrange everything for the trip. They had to arrange money after much difficulty in an area with poor phone network.
A case was filed at the Shastri Nagar police station on July 22. The investigation team tracked Naruka's phone, but he had switched it off. The Cyber Cell team, however, managed to locate him through his IMEI data and raided his rented hideout in Shiv Shakti Colony, Shastri Nagar. Naruka, originally from Alwar district, was trying to lie low after pocketing the funds. The police have confirmed that he had no intention of refunding or responding to any of the travellers.
