Three Men Sentenced to Life for Killing Woman in Family Clash

In a tragic incident that occurred in October 2021, a Lakhimpur Kheri court has sentenced three men to life imprisonment for killing a woman during a family clash. The violence was sparked by a schoolyard argument between the sons of two neighboring families.

According to the court's ruling on Tuesday, Sandeep Singh, Pradeep Singh, and Sunakke were found guilty of the murder. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 12,000 on each of them. The incident took place in the Mohammadi area on October 30, 2021.

Police reports indicate that the conflict began after a quarrel broke out between the two boys. Five members of one family, including the three convicts and two others, allegedly barged into the house of Ranveer Singh and attacked his family. During the assault, Ranveer's wife was struck on the forehead with a spade, leading to her death. Ranveer himself sustained injuries in the attack.

The police registered an FIR against all five accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder, rioting, and criminal intimidation. While two of the accused, Ramkumar and Munakke Singh, died of natural causes during the court trials, the remaining three were found guilty of the woman's murder.
