Teenage Suspect Arrested for Rape and Mysterious Death of 13-Year-Old Girl

On August 11, 2025, a 13-year-old girl was found unresponsive in an attic flat in Sheepridge Road, Huddersfield. Paramedics rushed her to the hospital, but she sadly passed away in the early hours of the following day.

The police have arrested a 16-year-old boy from Huddersfield on suspicion of the girl's murder and rape. However, a post-mortem examination was unable to establish the cause of her death, and the authorities are now treating the incident as unexplained.

Investigators are conducting a complex and lengthy inquiry to determine the full circumstances surrounding the girl's passing. The 16-year-old suspect has also been arrested on a separate charge of raping a 16-year-old girl in an unrelated incident elsewhere in Kirklees.
