Suspected Pakistani Spy Detained in Jaisalmer Military Zone

According to reports, on August 19, 2025, a 30-year-old man named Jivan Khan was detained by the Military Intelligence (MI) in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on suspicion of spying for Pakistan. Khan, a resident of the Sankada area, had previously worked at a restaurant inside the military area in Jaisalmer.
On Tuesday, Khan was trying to regain entry into the Army station when he was stopped at the gate. After his mobile phone was checked and suspicious activity was detected, Khan was detained by the MI personnel. He was later handed over to the Kotwali police on the same night.
During questioning, Khan reportedly admitted to having relatives in Pakistan. He is now expected to be produced before the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC), where multiple security agencies are likely to question him further. This is the fourth suspected spy case reported in Jaisalmer in recent times.
