- Accused of violence, including threatening to kill her in her sleep
- Daughter's allegations supported by evidence like recordings and photos

According to a news report from 2025, a police officer is currently facing gross misconduct proceedings over allegations that he was abusive and violent towards his 13-year-old autistic daughter between March and August 2020. The officer, who works for West Yorkshire Police, is accused of frequently telling the girl that he would kill her in her sleep.
The girl's allegations also include claims that the officer threatened to flush her head down the toilet and used a washing line to tie her up in the back garden. The officer is further accused of entering the bathroom while his daughter was showering and whipping her with her own t-shirt.
The girl's allegations are supported by evidence such as photos of her injuries, voice recordings, and text messages she sent to her mother. In one recording, the officer can be heard telling his daughter to "shut your little, stupid, gobby mouth before you get brained."
The officer has denied being violent towards his daughter, describing her as a "very difficult girl" who has "developed a hatred" for him. However, the hearing was told that the girl's behavior "doesn't justify, in any way, the officer's conduct towards her." The officer continues to serve on restricted duties while the misconduct proceedings are ongoing.
