Mangaluru Police Seize 123 Kg Ganja, Arrest 3 in Trafficking Bust

On July 28, 2025, the Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police team intercepted two vehicles near Matadakere at Kantavara Cross in Beluvai village, Moodbidri, based on credible information. The police found 123 kg of ganja being transported in the cars and arrested three suspects - Masood MK, Mohammed Ashiq, and Suber - all residents of Kasaragod district in Kerala.
In a separate incident, the Kundapur Rural police in Udupi arrested four individuals on July 29, 2025, for stealing a cow near Kalavara Junction. CCTV footage showed two men forcefully grabbing the cow's horns, tying its legs, and transporting it in a vehicle, allegedly for illegal slaughter. The stolen cow was valued at approximately Rs 5,000.
Additionally, on July 30, 2025, the Brahmavar police in Udupi arrested six individuals for allegedly engaging in gambling at a lodge in Varamballi village. The police seized Rs 2.4 lakh in cash, five mobile phones, a set of playing cards, tables, and chairs used for gambling.
