Indore Police Shut Down Unlicensed Spa in Posh Locality

In a recent crackdown on illegal businesses, the Indore police raided a spa operating without proper authorization in an affluent neighborhood of the city. The raid, which took place on August 5th, 2025, was conducted by the Tilak Nagar police following a tip-off from an informant and local residents.

Upon entering the Dolphin Salon and Spa Center, located on the second floor of the Mehra Marble Building in Scheme No. 94, the police found several individuals employed at the establishment. Two of them identified themselves as Dev and Ajay Ajnar. Further investigation revealed that the owner of the spa was Krishna Rajput, a 30-year-old resident of the same building, while the receptionist was Ajay Saini, a 30-year-old resident of Silnath Kulkarni Bhatta, Mali Mohalla.

When asked to present the necessary legal documents, the accused were able to produce a shop license (Gumasta), but they failed to meet the mandatory conditions required for its validity. Additionally, they could not provide the police with the required information about their employees, which violated the orders of the police commissioner.

Based on these findings, the authorities have registered a case against Krishna Rajput and Ajay Saini under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police have stated that further action will be taken to cancel the spa's trade license, and preventive measures have also been initiated.
