According to the news, on August 1, 2025, a 40-year-old scrap dealer named Harish Sharma was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner Yashmeet Kaur in Gurgaon's DLF 3 area. Sharma's friend Vijay alias Sethi, a resident of Baliawas village, was also arrested on Sunday for his involvement in the crime.
Sharma, a resident of Baliyawas, was in a live-in relationship with Yashmeet Kaur, a 27-year-old woman from Delhi's Ashok Vihar. The couple had been living together in a rented accommodation. During the investigation, it was revealed that Sharma was married and had two daughters, but his wife was unwell, which led him to enter into a relationship with Kaur.
The couple reportedly had frequent disputes over Sharma's visits to his family. On the day of the incident, a similar dispute escalated, and Kaur allegedly stabbed Sharma in the chest, leading to his death. Police have recovered the blood-stained knife used in the murder and Sharma's T-shirt as evidence.
Sharma's nephew had filed a written complaint, alleging that Vijay had picked up Sharma on August 1 and that Kaur had informed him about Sharma's death the next morning. The police are currently investigating the case further to uncover the full details of the tragic incident.
