The property businessman had filed a complaint with the police on July 27, alleging that one of his staff had fled with the money.
Sharma, a resident of Haryana, had initially informed the complainant that the client was yet to arrive at the location and then switched off his phone. However, the police were able to trace his location in Delhi and apprehend him, recovering the entire stolen cash from his possession.
According to the police, Sharma had previously worked with the complainant from 2020 to 2023 before joining again in 2025. During this time, he had been observing the financial transactions handled at the office and decided to execute the theft when he was given the responsibility to deliver a large sum of money, having gained the trust of his employer.
