In a recent crackdown on illegal weapons, the Bhilwara police arrested two men last month for possessing a homemade pistol. The arrests were made as part of a special operation led by the Hamirgarh station officer, Sanjay Gurjar, under the supervision of ASP Paras Jain and Rural DySP Shyam Sundar Vishnoi.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team spotted two suspicious individuals on a motorcycle near the Shani Maharaj intersection in Hamirgarh. Upon searching the suspects, the authorities discovered a homemade pistol with an empty magazine. The motorcycle and the illegal weapon were promptly seized as evidence.
The two arrested individuals have been identified as Govindanand Regar, a 19-year-old from Datada village in the Asind police station area, and Yuvraj Singh Rajput, a 23-year-old from Birdhol village in the Kotdi police station area of Bhilwara district. A case has been registered under the Arms Act, and an investigation is currently underway.
