20 Aug
Summary
- Police attach properties of designated terrorists in Kashmir
- Assets worth over ₹1 crore seized as part of anti-terror efforts
- Authorities aim to disrupt financial, logistical support for terror networks

As part of an ongoing effort to dismantle terror networks in Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have recently attached properties belonging to designated militants in the region. According to police reports, Srinagar police have seized an orchard measuring 3 kanals and 18 marlas, valued at approximately ₹1 crore, that belonged to Asif Maqbool Dar, a terrorist currently operating from across the border.
Separately, Anantnag Police have also attached the immovable property of an active terrorist named Adil Hussain Thoker in the Bijbehara area of south Kashmir. The land, falling under Khasra No. 165 MIN in Guree, Bijbehara, has been confiscated under relevant legal provisions.
Authorities have described these actions as a major step towards dismantling the financial, logistical, and operational ecosystem that supports terror networks and their cross-border sponsors in the Kashmir Valley. Police have stated that these decisive measures are intended to send a clear message that those engaged in anti-national and terror-related activities will face strict legal consequences, including the forfeiture of their assets.
The crackdown on terrorist financing and support structures is part of a larger strategy aimed at disrupting the overall capabilities of extremist groups in the region. Officials have vowed to continue such actions against individuals found aiding or involved in unlawful and anti-national activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
