Assault Victim's Body Found in Rajkot, Police Investigate Murder

According to the latest reports, the body of an unidentified man was discovered in an open plot near Sanskar Industries in Rajkot's Thorala police station jurisdiction on Monday. Based on the visible injuries to the victim's face, the police suspect that he was the victim of a brutal assault and subsequent murder.
Thorala inspector N G Vaghela stated that the investigators found "serious injuries to the victim's face, pointing to an assault." However, the motive behind the attack and the identity of the assailant remain unknown at this time. Police believe the murder likely occurred sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
The victim is estimated to be around 30 years old, and early leads suggest he may have been from the state of Odisha. Thorala police are now working closely with the dog squad and the forensic science laboratory (FSL) to gather crucial evidence from the crime scene that could help them crack the case.
The body has been shifted to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination, while senior police officers, including DCP (Zone 1) Sajjan Singh Parmar and ACP B V Jadhav, have visited the site of the incident to oversee the investigation.
