Zookeeper Dives Into Croc Pen to Save Child

A zookeeper demonstrated remarkable bravery on Thursday by entering a crocodile pen to rescue a young child. Tracey Johnson, co-owner of Johnsons of Old Hurst farm and zoo, did not hesitate when she learned a 3-year-old boy was inside the enclosure. The boy had been deliberately placed in the pen by a 30-year-old man, who was subsequently arrested.

The incident occurred in Huntingdon, England. The suspect, who reportedly has intellectual disabilities, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released on bail pending further investigation. The man and the child were unknown to each other.

The child suffered serious injuries during the ordeal. He was transported to a hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition. It remains unclear whether his injuries resulted from the crocodiles or from the significant drop into the pen. Friends of the zookeeper praised her extraordinary courage in such a dangerous situation.
