Summary
- Accused YouTuber allegedly staged a fake livestream to cover murder.
- Victim was 15 weeks pregnant when fatally attacked.
- Killer faked a tearful 999 call and blamed an ex-partner.

Stephen McCullagh, 36, is on trial for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Natalie McNally, who was 15 weeks pregnant when she was killed in December 2022. The prosecution contends that McCullagh, a YouTuber known as Votesaxon07, orchestrated a premeditated murder, devising a deceptive cover story. This alleged scheme included pre-recording and broadcasting a six-hour video game livestream to establish an alibi.
Evidence presented suggests McCullagh traveled to Ms. McNally's home in Lurgan via bus, committing the murder between 8:50 PM and 9:30 PM on December 18, 2022. He allegedly returned home by taxi, with his phone recording at the victim's residence. The court heard Ms. McNally died from neck compression and stab wounds. McCullagh's tearful 999 call the following day was described by prosecutors as a 'false act' designed to mislead authorities and conceal his involvement.
