The incident, which occurred on October 8, 2025, was captured on a video Propeck uploaded to his Instagram account. The footage showed him free-falling from Glacier Point before deploying a parachute.
Propeck was charged with delivering or retrieving a person or object by parachute. He initially claimed to have a permit, but Yosemite does not issue such permits for base jumping. Authorities were alerted to the video on October 10, 2025.
