Gangster duo nabbed after Yamunanagar encounter

In Yamunanagar, police arrested two individuals, Rakesh and Aryan, on Thursday after an encounter on the Pabni-Mandhar village road. These arrests are linked to the September 3 murder of city financier Harbhajan Singh outside a gym in Model Town. The apprehended duo, from Kurukshetra district, are accused of supplying weapons to the actual shooters.
During the encounter with the CIA-II unit, both Rakesh and Aryan sustained bullet injuries to their legs before being taken into custody. Previously, Yamunanagar police had arrested Kishan and Vishal, also from Kurukshetra, for allegedly planting a GPS tracker on Harbhajan Singh's car to monitor his movements.
Following the murder, an Instagram post from an account linked to gangsters Shubham Pandit and Rohit Godara claimed responsibility. The post asserted that Harbhajan Singh was targeted for his alleged closeness to a former MLA, Dilbagh Singh, and issued threats to others associated with him, warning them to be prepared.
