Kelcie Reed, 24, appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court, facing charges of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, leading to death. The incident tragically resulted in the death of 19-year-old Morgan Dorsett.
The attack occurred in February 2025 at a flat in Withywood, Bristol. Emergency services were called to Cobhorn Drive after reports of a dog attack. Morgan Dorsett sustained fatal bites to her neck and face. The XL bully, identified as Prince, was sedated and subsequently put down by authorities.
Reed has been released on conditional bail, with her next appearance scheduled for Bristol Crown Court on May 27. Her bail conditions strictly prohibit her from owning or controlling any dog. Another individual arrested in connection with the incident will face no further action.
