Armed police were dispatched to a property in Argyll Mews, Worthing, on Wednesday evening following a report of a man with a suspected firearm. The incident occurred at approximately 18:00 GMT.
As a result of the police response, a 55-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both residents of Worthing, were arrested. The charges against them are related to the unlawful possession of a firearm.
Both individuals are currently being held in custody. Sussex Police are urging the public to share any information that could assist their investigation, including CCTV, doorbell, or dash cam footage.
