Women Lose Over $482K in Failed Empowerment Schemes
1 Aug
Summary
- Nearly 60 women reported losing over $482,000 in total.
- The scheme originated from a Facebook group called 'Women Who Want It All'.
- Complaints span five other states beyond Ohio, impacting many women.

A Facebook group, "Women Who Want It All," initially intended for female empowerment, has defrauded nearly 60 women out of more than $482,000. Participants paid for various promotions, including gift cards, cash, and assistance, but many reported never receiving what they paid for.
While the majority of victims are located in Ohio's Miami Valley, the fraudulent scheme has extended its reach to women in Maryland, Texas, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Washington, D.C. The company acknowledged facing "significant operational and financial challenges" in an email to members, with an attorney stating it was simply a small business that failed.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing, with both the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office actively looking into the case. The number of complaints has nearly doubled since the story first broke in early July.
