A woman was found alive in the trunk of a car abandoned near the Bichhibojh canal in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday evening. The 55-year-old victim had been kidnapped the previous day.
She was rescued after successfully contacting her nephew, Nitish Ram, using her mobile phone. Police were immediately alerted and located the abandoned vehicle. A mechanic was called to open the car's trunk, freeing the distressed woman, who was then taken to a hospital due to her deteriorating health.
