Ex-Boyfriend Kills Woman, Dies in Police Standoff

A devastating act of violence has shaken the Sayville community following the murder of businesswoman Rachel Frislid. On September 3rd, Frislid was found unconscious in her home, and investigations later confirmed she was fatally stabbed by her ex-boyfriend, Brandon Hampson.

Hampson, who had been staying at a motel in Erving, Massachusetts, was located by police on September 9th. When approached by law enforcement, Hampson reportedly displayed a knife and charged at the officers. He was subsequently shot and later pronounced dead at a hospital.
