In Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, police apprehended a woman and her lover on Saturday for the alleged murder of her husband. An unidentified body found on January 8 was identified as Neeraj, 38, from Old Delhi. His brother filed a complaint, leading to the investigation and arrest of the wife, Divya, and her lover, Pintu.
During interrogation, Divya stated her husband was an alcoholic and physically abusive. She also disclosed a 10-12 year romantic relationship with Pintu, whom she met on social media. Police confirmed this love affair was the motive for a premeditated plan to eliminate Neeraj.
Authorities reported that Divya and Pintu confessed to giving Neeraj alcohol before strangling him with a towel and striking him with a brick. Both accused are in custody, and the murder weapons have been recovered based on their statements.
