A woman has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for fabricating rape allegations against ten men. Stacey Sharples, 31, of Farnworth in Bolton, pleaded guilty to ten counts of perverting the course of justice at Bolton Crown Court.
The false allegations were made over a six-year period, from 2013 to 2019. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that most of the accused men were arrested and some underwent intimate examinations as part of the investigation.
