She was traveling from New Delhi to Bihar with Ishan Kumar, on a berth booked in his name, though police allege Neha was ticketless.
Authorities recovered approximately 75 litres of foreign liquor, estimated to be worth around Rs1.5 lakh. Neha and Ishan were subsequently arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Investigations are underway, with police examining Neha's phone records and contacts for potential links to a wider liquor distribution network.
Further scrutiny has fallen on Neha's family, as her father was previously arrested in a liquor-related case, and an elder sister was apprehended for carrying a substantial amount of foreign liquor. Neha reportedly claimed the liquor was for a wedding in December, a statement police are currently verifying.
