A brutal act of violence has shaken Imadpur village in Jehanabad district, where a 25-year-old woman, Anshu Devi, was allegedly murdered with an axe by her brother-in-law, Kunal Kumar. The crime reportedly occurred on Tuesday after a dispute over the late serving of food.
According to initial reports, Anshu Devi was alone at home when Kunal Kumar, her brother-in-law, returned from work and demanded a meal. An argument allegedly escalated, leading to the fatal attack. The macabre discovery was made when villagers noticed a severed head hanging from a banyan tree near Kunal Kumar's residence, prompting them to alert the authorities.
Police have arrested Kunal Kumar from the village and seized the weapon believed to be used in the crime. He is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. While preliminary investigations suggest a food-related dispute as the motive, the police are continuing to probe all angles to ascertain the exact reason for the extreme violence.
