Six days later, on October 21, 2025, the police identified and arrested the woman behind the wheel. She has been identified as 42-year-old Pooja, a resident of Delhi, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident. During questioning, Pooja confessed to her role in the accident, stating that she had gone out that morning to buy household items and was headed toward the C-9 Pocket Mother Dairy when the collision occurred.
Police have registered a case under relevant legal sections and have confiscated Pooja's driving licence. However, she was later released on bail. The community is still grappling with the loss of the young student, and authorities are working to ensure justice is served.
