Man Held Parents Hostage in 14-Hour Standoff

A nearly 14-hour standoff concluded late on March 28 when Vance Lee, 33, surrendered to authorities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident began when Lee allegedly threatened his parents with a firearm and confined them to their bedroom. He reportedly called friends to the residence and told his parents he would shoot them if they attempted to leave.

Lee, a convicted felon, barricaded himself inside the home, issuing further threats to harm everyone present. The standoff, which police initiated after responding to a domestic dispute reportedly over kitchen items, ended when officers deployed gas. Lee now faces multiple felony charges, including firearm possession by an out-of-state convicted felon and use of a dangerous weapon.
