A Luzerne County jury has been presented with extensive video footage depicting the events leading up to and following the fatal stabbing of Scott Edward Knox. The homicide trial of Fernando Cupeles Bracero, 37, has focused on a minute-by-minute timeline meticulously reconstructed by Wilkes-Barre City Police Det. Joseph Sinavage.
Det. Sinavage's testimony, supported by numerous video clips, detailed a sequence of events that began on the night of May 6, 2024. Knox arrived at an apartment intending to buy drugs, which led to an assault on his companion.
The narrative unfolded with discussions of the botched deal captured on camera. Later, Knox was driven to an alley near the Mofon Lounge in his own truck, where he was confronted by several individuals, including Bracero. Videos showed Knox fighting back before attempting to flee, visibly injured.
The final moments captured by surveillance showed multiple vehicles departing the scene shortly after the attack. Knox's truck was later discovered abandoned.
