What was initially presumed to be an accidental drowning has taken a grim turn, evolving into a murder investigation. The family of Monu, a 21-year-old man whose body was discovered in a canal last month, unearthed deleted call records from his mobile phone, raising significant doubts about the circumstances of his death.
These recovered records revealed that Monu had contacted his wife, Tannu, multiple times on the day he went missing. Police investigation has since uncovered an alleged conspiracy involving Tannu, her lover Sonu, and Sonu's associates. According to investigators, Tannu lured Monu to a meeting where Sonu's associates allegedly overpowered him before throwing him into the canal to stage his death as an accident.
Tannu has been arrested along with one associate, Hariom. Police are actively searching for Sonu and another accomplice, Aman. The motive appears to stem from Tannu's alleged dissatisfaction with her marriage and her ongoing relationship with Sonu, a relationship that reportedly predates her marriage to Monu.
