Father Slits Wife's Throat in Front of Children

Tragedy struck Mahuwari Mathiya village when a man allegedly killed his wife, Sunita Yadav, by slitting her throat in the presence of their three children. The incident occurred late Friday in Azamgarh district under the Tarwan police station area. Police have arrested the accused husband, Sunil, who was apprehended while attempting to escape.

The motive for the brutal attack is believed to be a domestic dispute, according to police. Sunil reportedly thrashed and then slit his wife's throat during a midnight argument. The victim's cries for help went unanswered by neighbors, highlighting a disturbing lack of intervention. The couple had been married for 18 years.

Sunita's family reported the incident, leading to the murder case and Sunil's arrest in the Kamhariya area. The knife used in the assault has been recovered. The three children, who witnessed the horrific event, alerted relatives after their father fled the scene. Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
