Jossimar Cabrera, accused of murdering his wife Sheylla Gutierrez, has been extradited from Peru to the United States. Gutierrez's body was found on August 16th at the bottom of an embankment. Detectives obtained surveillance footage appearing to show Cabrera dragging a large, wrapped object from their Lancaster apartment complex. The victim's body was later found concealed in similar material.
Authorities successfully repatriated the couple's three sons from Peru, reuniting them with their maternal family. The U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement collaborated in Cabrera's apprehension, bringing him back to face murder charges filed by the district attorney's office.
