A 23-year-old woman named Ruby has been taken into custody in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district for allegedly orchestrating her husband's murder with her paramour. The crime, committed under the Ater police station's jurisdiction, was staged to resemble a robbery.
Ruby and her lover, Vishal Vimal, aged 21, are now in police custody. A third individual believed to have assisted in the murder is currently at large. The police are actively searching for this fugitive.
Initially, Ruby reported that unidentified robbers had shot her husband, Nilesh Jatav, 27, while they were traveling. She claimed her husband stopped their motorcycle, and assailants appeared, shot him, and fled.
However, investigators found Ruby's statements suspicious. Through careful questioning, they revealed that Ruby and Vimal had been involved for nearly seven years, maintaining contact via WhatsApp. Ruby allegedly felt her husband was an impediment to their relationship.
The plan involved Ruby deliberately dropping her bag to make her husband stop the motorcycle. At this point, Vimal and his accomplice allegedly shot Jatav. Police have recovered a 12-bore pistol, empty cartridges, a motorcycle, and mobile phones from the arrested suspects.
