Wayfarer Films Embroiled in Harassment Allegations Against Associate Director

On October 16th, 2025, Wayfarer Films, the production company led by actor Dulquer Salmaan, has found itself at the center of a controversy. A woman has reportedly filed a complaint accusing the production house's associate director, Dhinil Babu, of engaging in casting couch practices.

According to the complaint, Dhinil Babu allegedly contacted the woman under the pretext of offering her a role in a Wayfarer Films production. He then allegedly asked her to meet him in a building near the company's office in Panampilly Nagar. Upon arrival, the woman claims Dhinil Babu took her into a room and attempted to assault her, threatening that she would not receive further opportunities in the Malayalam film industry if she resisted.

In response, Wayfarer Films has filed official reports with the Thevara Police Station and the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) regarding the incident. The production house has clarified that Dhinil Babu has no association with the company and has not worked on any of their projects. They have emphasized that the harassment attempt was unauthorized and has no connection to Wayfarer Films.

The production house has also warned aspiring actors not to fall for such fraudulent offers, stating that all official casting calls are shared only through their verified social media channels. Ernakulam South Police have registered a case and initiated a formal investigation into the matter.
