In Wardha, a district court has sentenced Narayan Amanji Chavan to life imprisonment for the murder of his son, Vishal. The judge found Chavan guilty under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The court also mandated a Rs5,000 fine, with a year of simple imprisonment for non-payment.
The fatal incident took place on January 6, 2022. Vishal had withdrawn Rs5,000 and given it to his mother. Chavan became enraged when his son did not give him the money, leading him to attack Vishal with a stone pestle.
