12 Dec
Summary
- Sophisticated cannabis factory found in a converted barn.
- Operation generated approximately £3.5 million over five years.
- Multiple family members arrested in drug warrant execution.

Authorities recently executed a drug warrant, uncovering one of Wales' most sophisticated cannabis factories in a converted barn. The operation, located in Blaenllain, Cwmbach, near Whitland, Carmarthenshire, is estimated to have generated approximately £3.5 million over a five-year period.
During the raid on October 23, 2020, police arrested Linda McCann, 63, at the factory site, along with associates Justin Liles and Jack Whittock. Her husband, Edward McCann, 66, was arrested at their nearby farmhouse. The son, Daniel McCann, 41, who owned the property, was apprehended months later in Hampshire.
All individuals involved in the extensive cannabis operation are now serving prison sentences. The discovery highlights a significant organised crime network operating within the region, leading to substantial law enforcement action and convictions.
