Giuffre Estate Under Scrutiny: Where Did Millions Go?

A legal battle is unfolding in Australia over the estate of Virginia Giuffre, who died at 41. Her family is raising alarms about a substantial discrepancy between Giuffre's estimated $22 million fortune, amassed through compensation funds and settlements including $12 million from Prince Andrew, and the current estate valuation of just $472,000 AUD. This low valuation, which may increase as more assets are discovered, has fueled concerns that millions of dollars are missing.

The proceedings in the Supreme Court of Western Australia focus on who will administer the estate. Giuffre's sons are challenging her husband, Robert Giuffre, from whom she had filed for divorce two months prior to her death. The family alleges Robert was controlling and that their mother had changed her will after accusing him of domestic abuse, questioning her mental fitness to draft a will at the time.

Further complicating matters, much of Giuffre's settlement money was reportedly placed in the Witty River Family Trust, established in 2020 with both Virginia and Robert as co-directors. Concerns are mounting that compensation funds may have been spent or transferred. Relatives also aim to control Giuffre's charity, Speak Out, Act, Reclaim, with up to $3 million from Prince Andrew's settlement ring-fenced for it.
