Viral Video Reunites Missing Mom With Family

An 18-month search concluded with an emotional reunion after a viral video captured an assault on a missing mother in Indore. Rekha Devi, 45, from Meerut, had been missing for nearly 18 months following the deaths of her son and brother, which led to severe emotional distress. Her family had filed a missing person report but had no leads until a disturbing video surfaced online.

The video showed Rekha being assaulted by residents in Indore who suspected her of child lifting. After being taken to the police station, officers determined she was mentally unstable and had no criminal ties. She was released and continued to wander until her daughter, Shivani, recognized her in the viral clip. Shivani immediately traveled to Indore with her family to find her mother.

With guidance from local authorities, the family, assisted by police, searched for Rekha. After two days of searching in the Simrol and Barwaha regions, they finally found her at Khedighat, bringing an end to their long and arduous search.
