The Vikhroli police have initiated legal proceedings by booking the labour contractor, Ganesh Danawale, on charges of causing death by negligence.
The FIR was lodged following a complaint by Shailesh Yadav, a 23-year-old labourer. Yadav recounted that Udayraj was on a wooden platform near a window in his room on the second floor while talking on the phone, when he lost his balance and fell to his death.
Authorities are investigating the contractor for allegedly failing to implement crucial safety protocols at the construction site. This unfortunate event underscores the critical importance of adhering to safety standards in construction work to prevent such avoidable tragedies.
