On October 9, 2025, a 26-year-old software engineer died by suicide at a lodge in Thiruvananthapuram. The tragic incident has become controversial, as the victim had previously alleged abuse during his time in RSS camps as a young child.

This, he says, led to him developing an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that required him to take 7 different medications.
