Vet Clinic Accused of Euthanizing Healthy Dog
27 Oct
Summary
- A pug was allegedly euthanized after a clinic claimed organ failure.
- The dog was discovered alive with a clinic employee weeks later.
- The clinic allegedly re-euthanized the healthy pug to hide the deceit.
A devastating incident has come to light involving Senoia Animal Hospital in Georgia. In March 2026, a family was told their pug, Cha Cha, needed to be euthanized due to organ failure and diabetic ketoacidosis. Heartbroken, the family paid for the procedure.
Weeks later, the owner discovered Cha Cha was alive and had been taken home by a veterinary clinic employee. The family was initially told by the clinic that the allegations were false. However, the employee's husband confirmed they had kept the pug.
Following this revelation, the hospital reportedly euthanized the healthy dog to cover up the initial deception. This is not the first alleged incident at Senoia Animal Hospital, as a previous report detailed a similar situation with another family's pet.
The Senoia Police Department has stated it will not file criminal charges. The Coweta County Solicitor is investigating the matter, and a complaint has been filed with the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine.
