- Dog was left tied at ticket counter, owner did not return.
- The abandoned dog was eventually rehomed by a local shelter.

In Las Vegas, a woman was apprehended by authorities after allegedly abandoning her dog at an airport departure gate. The incident occurred recently when officers escorted the woman back to where her pet was found tied near the ticket counter. Security footage captured the woman tying her dog to an object before leaving it behind.
LVMPD officials reported that the woman did not have the proper documentation for the dog to travel as a service animal. When questioned about leaving her pet, she claimed the dog possessed a tracking device, suggesting she expected its return.
The woman was subsequently arrested for animal abandonment and resisting arrest. The dog, a two-year-old golden doodle/mini poodle, remained in custody for ten days without its owner reclaiming it. A local shelter intervened to ensure the dog, renamed Jet Blue, found a permanent home.
