Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health and the VCU Police Department are investigating an employee after a series of concerning social media videos surfaced. The videos, posted on a now-deleted TikTok account, appeared to show a VCU Health nurse suggesting harmful actions against federal law enforcement. The content was widely shared, leading to significant public outrage.
In one video, the nurse reportedly suggested using syringes filled with saline or succinylcholine as a deterrent. Another video allegedly promoted using poison ivy mixed with water, to be sprayed at individuals' faces and hands. A third video directed single women to target ICE agents on dating apps, suggesting they spike their drinks with laxatives to incapacitate them.
VCU Health issued a statement condemning the videos, emphasizing that the content is inappropriate and does not align with the health system's values. The employee has been placed on administrative leave and is barred from VCU facilities during the ongoing investigation. The university is cooperating with VCU Police to thoroughly examine the matter.
