- The project costs over Rs 29 crore for improved infrastructure.
- New buildings will enhance facilities for police and the public.

Varanasi is set to transform its aging police stations into modern administrative hubs. Six key stations, including Shivpur and Phoolpur, are being rebuilt as ground-plus-two-storey structures. This extensive upgrade, costing over Rs 29 crore, focuses on enhancing the working conditions for police personnel and improving public access for lodging complaints.
The new facilities are designed with both officers and citizens in mind. They will feature visitor rooms, dedicated complaint areas, and provisions for women's safety, including a women's lock-up. The modern buildings will also house essential operational rooms, barracks for constables, meeting halls, and recreational spaces.
These police stations are being constructed on approximately 2,582.77 square metres each and are expected to be completed by August-September. This initiative is part of a larger effort across Uttar Pradesh to modernize police infrastructure and empower the force with better facilities, aiming to boost morale and operational efficiency.
