According to Maurya's sister, he lived alone and was reportedly in a relationship with a neighboring woman who has two children. The family was alerted that Maurya was unwell, finding his room locked from the outside upon arrival. They claim the woman unlocked the door and interfered with the scene before law enforcement arrived.
