3 Jul
Summary
- Two gunshots fired outside an apartment, causing panic.
- Six men arrested after a liquor party led to firing.
- One accused may have his firearm license revoked.
Two gunshots were fired outside Aarana Apartment in Vadodara's Bhayli area around 1:10 AM on Friday, startling residents. The bullets struck two homes, with one piercing a second-floor window. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
Police swiftly arrested six men later on Friday afternoon. The firing originated from an office in Ashwamedh Complex where the men were attending a liquor party. An argument over a firearm led one individual, Mehul Gadhvi, to discharge his pistol twice.
The arrested individuals face charges under the attempt to murder, arms act, and prohibition acts. Authorities are also reviewing the firearm license of the man who fired the shots, suspecting it may not be valid. This incident follows another firing case in the city last week.
