An IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre has filed a case of murder and robbery concerning the events at his ancestral home in Ambedkar Nagar. He stated that his mother, aged 95, was found deceased, with several pieces of jewelry missing and blood around her mouth.
Upon examination, the officer noted the missing jewelry and the presence of blood, prompting his suspicion of murder. However, an autopsy report has since ruled out foul play and found no external injuries. Forensic examination of the scene also revealed no signs of a struggle.
The preliminary cause of death is believed to be a heart attack, with a histopathological examination of the heart currently underway. Police have indicated that a maid and some family relatives are under scrutiny as the investigation proceeds.
